This petition is a call for MTV (Music Television) owned by Viacom to formally change its name on the grounds of false advertising. The "Music" portion of the name does not represent the channel's program format appropriately and therefore should be dropped. A true programming description could easily and justly be represented in names such as HoTrashTV or SkankTV provided these names are not taken.
