THE NEW KENYA – A NEW WAY OF THINKING The Kenya we have known since independence is one of oppression of the worst type. Citizens have been stripped of the most basic element of nationhood; PATRIOTISM! Instead of the political class cultivating the spirit of patriotism in the citizenly they have always subverted this noble course by buying the conscience of people either with money or promises of jobs or other rewards. It is a pity that at this point in time there are some among us who would sell their motherland for pittance. However, we are happy to know that there are still some people out there who are ready to do anything purely for the love of mother country Kenya. These are the patriots!! Now we might ask; who are patriots? What is patriotism? PATRIOTISM It is LOVE, JUSTICE and TRUTH all attributes directed to oneself, neighbor and country. PATRIOTS 1. These are citizens who can do or perform any duty for the love of their motherland Kenya without any material considerations. Their greatest joy comes from seeing a developed Kenya and happy inhabitants. An example is Germany. These are people known for their fierce sense of patriotism. They have time and time again given their money, time and even their lives in the service of their country. The result is a powerful and very rich nation that rose from the ashes and ruins of Second World War. 2. The time has come for PATRIOTS TO RISE UP. People who will do everything possible to liberate people from the yoke of neo-colonialism that is sweeping the African continent and Kenya in particular. We have to work hand in hand to mitigate the suffering of our people. This suffering is a result of some people who have benefited from selling our sovereignty to foreign masters. 3. PATRIOTS must say no to manipulation orchestrated by America. The Americans feel that Kenya has been under British sphere of influence for too long and it is America’s turn to take over. This is being accomplished through traitors who have been given money to destabilize the existing government and when it does fall America wants to install those men who have been compromised and hence easy to manipulate whenever the need arises. TRAITORS These are sell-outs who will do anything for their masters. Right now they are talking of calling our young men and women to violent demonstrations in the like of Tunisia, Egypt and Libya. PATRIOTS know that Kenyans are not followers, they are leaders and trail blazers. PATRIOTS will not go the Egyptian OR Libyan way! This is another way of changing masters through the back door. It is BRITISH OUT – AMERICANS IN!!! WHAT KENYA NEEDS SIMPLY PUT; KENYA IS RIPE FOR A PEACEFUL PEOPLE’S REVOLUTION. Kenya is poised either to the destiny of a failed nation or a powerful emerging economy Those issues that threaten to tip Kenya into the precipice are well known. a. Ethnicity – this the greatest threat to our nationhood and patriotism. Our political class has whipped up evil emotions in our people. They want us to view ourselves as Onyangos, Kamaus, Katana’s etc instead of Kenyans! The political class, for their selfish agendas have sown seeds of fear, suspicion and hatred among the many brothers and sisters of this nation on the basis of their ethnic background. b. Corruption is a cancer that has brought about difficult situation in this country. Money can buy anything. Narcotic Drugs find their way into the bodies of our young people because somebody somewhere was compromised. Un authorized foreigners travel using our passports because money exchanged hands. In this error of terrorism corruption is a serious risk to our national security. c. Bribery – this is another shade of corruption. Our Kenyan brothers and sisters have been led to believe that their National Rights are up for sale. Therefore, some refuse to vote if no one is willing to pay them for the exercise, Yet others take voting cards with the hope of making money from politicians. Even conventions or big meetings which are platforms for listening to national agenda are sometimes boycotted if the conveners do not give money or other handouts. IT’S A PITY THAT A VITAL PART OF NATIONHOOD; PATRIOTISM, HAS BEEN REDUCED TO A MARKET COMMODITY. To lift Kenya out of the abyss and elevate our motherland to an economic power, PATRIOTS are needed; People who are ready to see our beautiful country as one nation that is prosperous and powerful. The REVOLUTION IS A PEOPLE’S REVOLUTION. It is peaceful and anchored in the new constitution. Kenyans are allowed by the constitution to change the government or any area of the national life by representation from all constituencies. Therefore delegates from all constituencies are wanted to sign up in our petition. Here we are inviting PATRIOTS. People who will work, attend, use their resources and do whatever else that it takes to liberate our country and create a conducive environment for growth and prosperity.
