My family and I have lived in canalakes for over ten years. every party we had ,we love having in the canalakes club house because it is like our home. This year my 17year old nephew decided to have his graduation celebration, like always, at the canalakes club house. Family and friends flew in from all over the country for this occasion. We had over 150 people there, having a great time. We originally planned to have the club house rented to us until 11 and $50 every additional hour. This to use was usual. Until that night at around ten we had a young man come to lock up the doors and ask us to leave. We told him we always stay late and pay the additional fee, which was approved by the management as always. Around ten twenty barging in through the doors into the party, saying this is it the party’s over get out. we tried to explain that we always do this and the management is aware of it, he did not care at all, all he wanted was us to leave and to ruin are graduation party. We even offered to pay upfront, but he did not care. long story short, he made the situation a big scene in front of all our guests and family. That ended up ruining our party. Those that don’t know who Mr. Miller he is our (lovely) vice president who has recently been demoted from president. He is the one in the meetings who was unable to give us the explanation to where all of our money for the association is going. Ms.Lynn promised us our whole check that we paid to rent the club house back which is not happening. we were promised a fair judgment but that didn’t take place either , we were told that the board, who Mr. Miller is a part of will make the judgment of what happened that night. As our neighbors would you help us get Mr. Miller out of the board so that in the future whom ever decides to have party at the canalakes club house will not have to face the embarrassment or disappointment that we faced, what was suppose to be a wonderful occasion turned out to be a horrible nightmare. we hope no one else will have to go through this in order for something to take place and that lies in our hands united we have to take the stand.
