| 51 | claudia james | Lovely family man and has a wonderful reputation as a brilliant Maths Teacher. |
| 52 | David | What can I say, other than I am totally aghast that this can happen. It shows the state of education when a teacher of this calibre can be sacked. Mr Aldridge taught me for 4 years during my time at Olchfa (1987-94). He was a gifted teacher who inspired many of us in lessons which could easily have been so mundane. |

| 54 | Anonymous | Mr.Aldridge taught me last year and we had to move classes because they suspended him. i was very sad to see him go and want him to come back as he is an excellent teacher and i am sure he missed greatly by a number of people at Olchfa. |
| 55 | ben green | Mr Aldridge taught me for my GCSE Maths and was both humorous and passionate about teaching I thoroughly enjoyed his lessons and find it extremely unlikely that he would ever touch or harm a student. |

| 58 | Anna Smith | As a former pupil and taught by Mr Aldridge I find the whole think absolutely ridiculous, I found him to always be extremely fair and a great teacher. Mr Aldridge was also head of year for my son, his year group miss him very much. I hope that the governing body of olchfa can live with themselves, how they are able to have so much power to sack him when the police have cleared him of any charges is beyond me. |
| 59 | Amanda Rushton (Ellis) | I was a former pupil at Olchfa School and was taught by Mr Aldrige - he was a fantastic teacher and he should be commended for his years of teaching and treated with the respect - rather than dismissed as a no body. |
| 60 | Benjamin Bullock | What has happened to Mr Aldridge is a travesty and a grave, sad loss for Olchfa. I found Mr Aldridge to be a great teacher, and (arguably) more importantly, a genuinely nice, kind guy. It is not often you find a secondary school teacher who combines their thorough knowledge and understanding of their subject with a fantastic teaching ability and a down-to-earth and immensely approachable demeanour. Congratulations to Olchfa's management and governors for removing one of their best assets and depriving current and future pupils of the great educational and personal experience Mr Aldridge offered me between 1995 and 1997. |
| 61 | Jonathan Stephens | I too feel that Mr Aldridge is a superb teacher and his suspension and subsequent sacking is completely unjust. |
| 62 | Simon Davies | Mr Aldridge taught me maths for 5 years in the 1980s, culminating with getting me through maths A level. I owe him a lot for that.
I found him to be a very fair and caring teacher who would go well beyond the call of duty to help anyone who needed it. Reinstate him now! |
| 63 | Tristan Payne | I support Mr Aldridge, he was a good teacher to me and Olchfa's pupils will be missing out. |

| 65 | Anonymous | I have trouble imagining this happening to very few teachers at olchfa, let alone david aldridge. he is one of the kindest men i have ever met. this is so unfair. |
| 66 | Sian Lawrence | Mr Aldridge has been my head of year from 1998-2005 until he got suspended and now Miss Garner. As much as i like her i still think we should bring Mr Aldridge, he has been stern but never the less has been an amazing teacher and i cannot believe he has been sacked. Please bring Mr Aldridge back. He is an Amazing Maths teacher AND Head Of Year |
| 67 | Demi Morcom | Hello All. Im signing this in English in School, and everyone here are all supportive of Mr Aldridge coming back to Olchfa. He was wicked, And very good. We all loved him, and we hope he comes back. COME BACK MAN! =]=]=] xo |
| 68 | Hannah Ellsmore | Mr.Aldridge is Awesome!!!
he's done nothing wrong!
he was my head of year and he was really cool! |
| 69 | Paul Owen | It's a shame this has come to Olchfa. A few narrow minded people have put their own motives before the benefit of students by the sacking of this excellent and popular teacher, Mr Aldridge. |
| 70 | Catherine Gale | He was my maths teacher for 5 years, and one of the best teachers I had. The education system is crying out for teachers of his calibre & experience - to sack him is unbelievable, as were the original allegations made against him |
| 71 | Anonymous | I agree |
| 72 | Bronwyn Vice | Mr.Aldridge was an absoloutly fabby teacher. And a brill head of year. I miss him as a head of year and as hes innocent i see no reason why he should not be brought back. I think this is totally UNFAIR. |
| 73 | Michael Sullivan | Having had step-children at Olchfa during the 1980s and since 2002, while shocked at the treatment of Mr Aldridge, I am not surprised. The Governing Body should be forced to justify their decision to dismiss him - I strongly suspect they would be able to do so. He should be reinstated |
| 74 | Michael Sullivan | Previous message should have read that ...' I strongly suspect that they would be unable to do so. No succour for the Governing Body intended! |

| 76 | Matthew Hopkins | I'm currently a studant at Olchfa and Mr Aldridge was a fine teacher. He never taught me but he was always kind. I was out once with a foot injury and he called me to se if i was ok. After he left many of my friends were sad not so have such a good teacher anymore |
| 77 | John Silvester | I am a student in Sixth Form currently at Olchfa. I know Mr.Aldridge through the German Exchange, and I know for a fact he is one of the kindest teachers to be mentioned. |
| 78 | Ian Harper | Like everyone else, I'm unable to see the precise details of this case - or, perhaps more importantly, the perverse logic of its outcome given the "no charge" result.
Nearly 20 years after leaving his class, my memory of David Aldridge is that he was a fair, calm, reasonable man who genuinely cared about teaching. A sad loss to both the teaching profession and the children of Swansea if this decision is left to stand. |
| 79 | Anonymous | Mr Aldridge was a wonderful teacher and a kind man whilst I attended Olchfa, Outside of school he is just the same helping those who need help. he is a knid man who takes time out of his own life to help others. I simply cannot understand how this could have happened to him and why after all the extra-activiteis Mr Aldridge particiapted in allowing pupils to engage in them did not back him up.
Mr Aldrisge is a wonderful teacher and a very kind man.
(Former pupil, 1988 - 1995) |

| 86 | H Kroll | I taught in Olchfa from 1998 to 2004 and have always found Dave Aldridge a model teacher, extremely professional and always concerned about the welfare of pupils. Against this background the allegations don't seem to make any sense and the handling of the case appears to have been driven by the LEA's and the school's concern to quickly resolve the situation by ruining the career of a dedicated teacher.
I hope David will get some recognition from the employment tribunal. |
| 87 | Tessa Johns | I have known Dave Aldridge since I was in Olchfa and that was many years ago. He was also a teacher at the school when my eldest son was there.
He was always a perfect teacher and always very patient. I could not believe it when I heard of the alleged allegations of assault.
I am disgusted to hear of his treatment by the Olchfa School and I think the school should reinstate him with immediate effect and also he should be compensated for what he has had to go through.
A very big apology is needed all round for allowing this to happen to a really great teacher and a genuine person. |
| 88 | Darren Cox | Good teacher, firm but fair. |
| 89 | Nadine Goodinson | I was fortunate enough to be taught by Mr Aldridge for two years at Olchfa school, and his classes were the most effective and enjoyable that I remember. I am appalled by the way he has been treated. Not only have a kind and decent man and his family been put through an unnecessary ordeal, but also many children have been denied the benefit of his talent and commitment in the classroom. His reinstatement is long overdue. |
| 90 | holly davies | i want him back as a head of year the new one has not got a clue come back mr a |
| 91 | Anonymous | the new head of year is a mess she cant handle us she does not care bring back mr a now the governing body at olchfa you are letting down all of the pupils in the current yearv 10s of a lovely head of year who cares about his year group let him back please |
| 92 | Helen Wilson | I always found Mr Aldridge one of the very best. |
| 93 | Eileen Davies | Mr Aldridge taught both my children to the highest standard, he was also my son's head of year. I cannot belive the allegations made against him, furthermore they have not been proved. Olchfa school has lost a good man and an excellent teacher. |
| 94 | Andrew Kenning | The whole thing is absolutely appalling. I worked with Dave for 2 years. He is a brilliant professional, a caring man who always had the best interests of the pupils at heart.
I hope he gets justice at the tribunal. |
| 95 | Andy K | Best teacher I had. Ever. 87-94. |
| 96 | Phil Davies | |
| 97 | Richard Donne | Mr Aldridge taught me when he first came to Olchfa and worked with my father in the Maths Department My father and I thought very highly of him both as a teacher and a friend. It is a disgrace that it has come to this and should never have involved the school.I hope he is suitably compensated and returns to teaching : In a school more befitting his exceptional qualities and integrity |
| 98 | Patrick Talbot | |
| 99 | Catrin Davies | |
| 100 | Stephen Beale | I was appalled to see how wrongly Olchfa had reacted to tsuch allegations as, from what I have gathered through articles in the paper, the police could not find any grounds on which to charge Dave Aldridge yet somehow Olchfa seemed to find grounds on which to sack him - what a joke. For a man who was such a tremendous teacher and thoroughly nice bloke, who also served Olchfa extremely well during his time there it seems disgusting how they have merely shown him the door in the face of what are almost certainly false allegations. |
