Name: Sasha Bilton on Mar 8, 2011Comments: If you make this film we'll all come. And buy the Bluray. And talk all our friends and family into coming. H.P.Lovecraft is such a rich creative vein that hasn't been tapped by top tier production and you could end up with a huge franchaise on your hands.Flag

Further, as a big studio it is also of the utmost essence to promote good cinema in a big way. C'mon Universal, this is your big chance to make us all proud of you.Flag

Name: Matthew Turner on Mar 8, 2011Comments: Universal is turning down the opportunity to not only bring to the screen one of America's all-time great horror novellas by the genre's literary luminaries but to bring it to the screen by one of modern cinema's most imaginative, creative directors (Guillermo del Toro) and one of its preeminent, visionary motion picture director/producers (James Cameron). This is the perfect storm, a chance for Universal to once again lead the way in movie entertainment. The project has legs, and the studio's unwillingess to lead the pack surprises me. You really do need to reconsider your decision to not greenlight "At the Mountains of Madness".Flag

Name: Matt McDermott on Mar 8, 2011Comments: I am saddened to hear that At The Mountains of Madness has been cancelled. I assume paying for something based on the work of one of America's greatest writers of horror fiction was deemed not financially viable, and that the decision was made to spend the money on something more bankable. Like ten schlocky, unchallenging gore-porn flicks with no redeeming artistic merit or value, and which are about as scary as a quiet sunday afternoon.Flag

Name: Pedro on Mar 8, 2011Comments: Dear Universal Studios, “At The Mountains of Madness” scares you. You fear the risk in funding such a movie. You fear the film will not bring in enough profit, when in fact a fresh film like this is exactly what the industry needs. This film will take the horror genre to new places. This is your chance to be credited as modern day pioneer studio. This is your chance to be the studio willing to take the risk and make something original in a time of uninspired remakes and reboots. Fearing the outcome of a risky venture is understandable, but risks are unavoidable. This petition should ease your fears of the outcome somewhat, as everyone signing it is doing so as a promise to see this movie in theaters. Yes, we are asking you to take us on our word. We want to show you just how much this movie is needed. We want you to make “At The Mountains of Madness”. We want it to scare us. Sincerely, PedroFlag

Name: Mark on Mar 8, 2011Comments: The greatest horror writer of all time. The director of Pan's Labyrinth. The director of The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, Terminator 2, True Lies, titanic and Avatar. The biggest movie star in the world. An attempt to bring back big-scale classic horror along the lines of Alien, The Exorcist and The Shining. No-brainer Universal. No-brainer. Wake up.Flag

Name: Benjamin Franklin Curry on Mar 8, 2011Comments: Please, everything listed and stated in the petition is true. This is a project that has been gestating for years and years, and is backed by some very prominent filmmakers and stars. If you run the risk I can promise you that it will be worth every penny you spend. This wouldn't just be a horror film, but an event film that has the potential to be a large box office it. I promise I would see it and I can promise you that if u put the names Cameron and Del Toro in your trailer others will too. Don't waste a project with such vast potential. Thank You!Flag
