Comments: This tragedy has injured the very core of everyone on that bus and their families and friends. My son was pinned beneath the bus. The things he saw, heard, and felt should never be experienced by anyone. And though the pain, heartache, and anguish suffered by him, all of these kids, and their families defies description, it became obvious in the days to follow that their anguish was shared by communities and families from all over the state, the country, and the world. We can not sit by and let this kind of pain slip into history without doing everything we can to try to prevent others from experiencing what these kids and families and friends had to experience. Please do whatever it takes to pass the Motorcoach Enhanced Safety Act of 2007. Please let there be something good come from this tragic event.

Comments: My cousin's son was a passenger on that Blufton bus when he was thrown out of the window and the bus landed on his legs. Miraculously he survived and has use of both legs after some surgery and he continues to play baseball but many were not so fortunate. We mourn the loss of these children and ask for this Safety Act to be a high priority.

Comments: My cousin, Chris Bauman, was on the bus and one of two survivors that was trapped under the bus. As a cousin, mother of four boys who are all in sports, one on a travel team, I beg you to do something about this. It's an issue that has been overlooked for a very long time. Sincerely, Dana Highsmith

Comments: Being in the Bluffton University Bus Crash, I witnessed first hand what seat belts could have done. They could have saved all my teammates and lowering the injuries much less. Seatbelts are a must have to secure the safety of everyone. I do not want to see any more accidents that could have been prevented by having seat belts on a bus. Please pass this bill. God Bless, Brandon Freytag

Comments: Having children and elderly parents that engage in using this type of transportation as a means of getting places I am very much behind the movement of this Act. There are no words, no material things, nor dollar compensation that can replace a loved one. Please protect what we all value most and that would be life itself.
