I saw alot of the injured victims personally and strongly believe the deaths and injuries could have been less if the motorcoach had the safety features listed in the Safety Act. |

| 1773 | Deborah Wronski | On January 6, 2008 my best friend lost her 18yr old son, my son lost his best friend in a tragic bus accident. The loss of this one special person has affected so many people that loved and cared about him and there where 8 more people on that bus that also lost their lives. Not to mention all the other bus accidents that have happened even just recently where others where severely injured or killed. We must require these buses to have at very least seat belts for every seat not just the driver. How is it I can receive a $300 ticket for failure to wear my seatbelt in the car but we put our children on these for field trips, etc. without any real saftey precautions, not even a seatbeat to hold them in if god forbid some accident happens. We need to get laws in place that require better safety measures on all motorcoachs before anymore innocent people loose their lives. |
