To Palo Alto City Council, I appreciate the availability of bicycles for share at the University avenue train station. However, the installation removed all existing parking spaces for motorcycles. I drive an electric motorcycle to the train station when bicycling is not feasible; it doesn't pollute, it takes much less space than a car and it's creating much less traffic on the already congested roads during morning and evening hours. I'm not able to park there anymore on the Alma street side because all existing parking spaces have been taken by the bicycle for share. Like myself, I have seen other motorcycle drivers struggling with the lack of parking there (not wanting to take a full car parking space with a single motorcycle either). I ask to reconsider the space allocation for the bike share and/or possibly designate some of the existing car parking spaces for motorcycles. Respectfully,
