Now comes the Petitioner Antwon petitioning the honorable court for relief from his sentence on the grounds of ineffective assistant of council. Petitioner was coerce to plead guilty to charges by his attorney who now deceased: Attorney Bruce Hulse, Jr. Petitioner's attorney did not give petitioner an accurate and complete disclosure of the plea Petitioner had agreed to. Petitioner was not informed that the consequences of said charges could and would extend his stay in prison. Furthermore, the career criminal enhancements charges that were used against petitioner are not considered felonies under the jurisprudence of federal and North Carolina State law. Petitioner presentence report stated clearly which sentences were considered criminal enhancement prior convictions. Petitioner is asking the Honorable Court to take a look at "Alabama VS Boykins claim. Petitioner took a plea based on coercion by his attorney, under the premise that he (petitioner) would get a lesser sentence. Not a sentence that would later be enhance to extend his stay in the prison system. My privilege against compulsory self-incrimination under the fifth Amendment to the Constitutions of the United States and the Great State of North Carolina was violated by former defense attorney Bruce Hulse, Jr. There was never an arrest warrant for the weapon charge. It was just made a part of a plea agreement. Petitioner ask that said weapon charge be removed from his record and that he be granted relief from these charges.
