I believe Public Safety should be Morris Township's top priority; and despite anticipated budget deficits, I am against any layoffs in the Morris Township Fire Department.

I shudder to think what the consequences would be if even one of our dedicated firefighters lost his/their job(s). How do you put a price on a resident's life?? Because, I am certain, that we would be reading obituaries of those lost by the ravages of fire ~ or lost lives due to the decrease in EMTs ~ as a result of this proposal.

Possibly a bi-monthly pick-up of my recyclables, rather than weekly? I am well aware of the fact that we are in a financial crisis, but I am certain that other means can be found to reduce our spending rather than eliminating five firefighters!
