The 10 minute rule has been established in White Plains High School, and with it, there are dilemnas. The rule causes students to go right in the middle of class periods, and miss the key points of the lesson.

Some teachers argue that there is plenty of time between classes for us to use the bathroom. The 5 minutes we have is just enough to get from one part of the school to another, but not enough to take a restroom stop as well. Not only is this school large, but the amount of traffic in the halls is ridiculous, but seems to be permanent. The teachers and administration discipline when we're late to class, so going to the bathroom puts us at risk for sweeps and detention slips, but going straight to class will force us to wait another whole 10 minutes till the 10 minute rule has passed. If we add a couple minutes to the time between classes, then maybe the teachers will be pleased to find we don't go to the bathroom much at all during classtime. Maybe.
