As a longtime music fan, El DeBarge has become one of my few all time favorites. His voice, style, charisma, and smile is one of a kind. His songs and music videos have become part of my everyday life. An amazing artist, El has sweet songs and lyrics that are sorely missed today. After his recent BET performance, it has come to my attention that I am not the only who feels this way. He became one of the highest searched people the next day, which implies he is loved by very many. As a devoted fan, I am writing this petition in hopes to have TVOne give El Debarge a reality series. His fans would love to see what he and the talented DeBarge family are up to. TVOne seems to be the perfect candidate for this show because it is geared towards an older crowd who were fans of El’s back in the day. With LisaRaye, Brandy and Ray J, Salt and Pepper, and even Flava Flav having reality shows ( the last 3 courtesy of VH1 ) this is not asking much. With that being said, I am asking all El fans to sign and support this cause. It’s not everyday that a musical legend can go through all the trials and tribulations that El DeBarge has endured and still come out on top. We truly, truly love him in a special way.
