People who may otherwise be doing regretful things in their community are playing disc golf to keep them selves out of trouble! we need this free, fun sport to keep us all together and have a better understanding of our environment and further our education on preserving nature for our grandchildren!Flag

Name: Toby Cheff on Aug 4, 2010Comments: Disc golf is a family friendly sport that is economical for both the individual playing the sport and the parks department providing the course itself. Seattle could definitely use a few more disc golf courses throughout the city in order to facilitate the rapidly growing number of players taking up the game. City park usage would increase dramatically at a relatively low cost to the city. Thanks either way. Toby CheffFlag

Name: Jordan Mardis on Oct 22, 2010Comments: With the popularity of disc golf skyrocketing, it is very discouraging that local entities are not more willing to help grow a sport that provides so many positive features to the general public. The other aspect that is staggering is that the budget for public works has dwindled over the recent past and disc golf is one of the least expensive improvements a city can make!Flag

Name: Paul Walker on Feb 17, 2011Comments: A course brings people from other communities to yours to see the course. In the process they spend money on food - beverage, gas, lodging and other necessities. I play on a weekly basis at one of the five seattle area courses often with the family and a meal destination included in plans.Flag

Name: Brett Leverett on Apr 11, 2011Comments: The greater Seattle area, and the PNW for that matter, has an unprecedented amount of parks and forests which could host numerous more disc golf courses. Most of the well-designed courses are packed on the weekends from April through October and a few more courses would make the game more enjoyable for everyone. Variety is the most fun part of disc golf, and we need to add courses to allow this. The more courses we have, the more fun the sport will be to play and the more people will be attracted to it. Also, by we need to add more courses to accommodate new players in the fasted growing sport in the world.Flag

Name: Erick Illg on May 3, 2011Comments: Yes I agree we definitely are in the need of more courses in this state and the surrounding Seattle area especially on the eastside of Seattle. This sport is rapidly growing, every day you see new groups of people coming for there very first time and playing having a great time. Another thing about discgolf that I like so much is its great exercise, walking picking up your disc and throwing, what more could you ask for in a good workout that fun for the hole family. If you are not playing befor 12:00 noon every course is getting backed up, and taking longer and longer. So these are some of my reasons for wanting new courses. I signed up for the PDGA in early 2008 my # 36012 look and see how many people have signed up since then, these people that signed up because they play in tournaments.Flag

Disc golf is an economical, fun, low maintenance recreation opportunity for so many people. Let's catch up with so many other major urban areas and get some more disc golf courses!Flag
