In the past week a video on the African war criminal Joseph Kony has penetrated social media, the news and other forms of communication. The 30 minute documentary was made by Jason Russel, it was launched as campaign for then group invisible children. The documentary entitled Kony 2012 is one of the many efforts to capture Kony the leader of the "Lord's Resistance Army" (LRA) Despite the generosity of this act research has estimated that only 35% of all the money donated/made actually goes to africa. According to tax records out of the 14 million dollars they made last year only 3 million truly went to Africa.The rest of the money went to film production and other costs. The whole point of this petition is to get more help and donations to the kids in Africa. To do this we need to have the correct facts about what organisations and governments are doing with the money we give them as donations. We urge that Invisible children try to use less of the money on film production and other costs and send more of it to the children in Africa, who are ripped away from their innocence and forced to handle machinery.
