More hours for the Park School editing labs
Students in college do not have the means to buy a variety of different editing softwares for personal use on laptops or desktops. As journalism majors in the Multimedia Journalism capstone course taught by Prof. Pablo Calvi, we currently use Avid, FInal Cut, Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, Pro Tools, Soundslides, Fetch and Flash Professional in addition to basic word processing and internet browsing software. Obviously, we cannot afford to buy all of these software packages. In an incredibly demanding class like Multimedia Journalism, we need to be able to access the editing labs (particularly Park 275) a few more hours during the week, otherwise we cannot create mandatory projects for class. Please consider adding any hours possible to the lab schedule!
