| 14766 | Anonymous | Each year, people give new programs a shot, and each year they're let down when the cream of the crop are shot down with no closure. My heart was broken for the first time with the loss of Vengeance Unlimited. This is yet another in a long string of bait and switch programming. The noticeable decline in viewers on programs mat not be from dislike of a program, so much as a fear of getting involved. Personally, I have a rule to not watch a show in their first season since Vengeance. I made the mistake of watching and falling for Moonlight, New Amsterdam and Journeyman because I felt, surely, with the endless scenarios and possibilities, they could keep it fresh enough for a fickle audience.
Unfortunately, this is once again proving my own initial desires to steer clear of unproven network series correct. And it is yet another nail in the coffin of network television. They really don't care who or how many love a show. It's the right now profits that they care about, and they make more trying to bait the majority into watching a new series than they do by locking a particular type of audience into a time slot. They don't care if it's loved or not, it will still narrow the audience more and more as time goes on and the show becomes more specific in the audience it reaches. They don't want that, so they start fresh. I think it's wrong, and it will be the death of them, but as long as money is being made in the moment, the future is not a concern to the networks. Sad but true. |

This truly IS the very BEST show offered on TV in a LONG, LONG time...and if CBS would rather insult us with yet more pathetic "reality" shows or some lame attempt at creating something as thrilling & sexy as Moonlight, then so be it...BUT surely some other savvy network will see the potential for stealing CBS viewers for this FABULOUS show...If not, I honestly DO give up on TV as a form of entertainment!
Incidentally, FYI, Hubby & I aren't KIDS...We are in our forties & fifties, just to illustrate the wide appeal of this OUTSTANDING series!
It is my hope that either CBS will reconsider, or someone else will recognize this JEWEL before it's too late!

With another season, we all think a very large audience would emerge because of word of mouth and advertising. Once you see it, you are hooked as i was. Love the show!
