Montclair Anesthesia provided services at Mountainside from 1995-2007. When Merit took over the institution they brought in their own anesthesia group. For years, we have been contacted by numerous physicians asking that our anesthesia group return to the hospital. Despite our efforts, we have never been able to get a meeting with the present administration. We not only provided excellent patient care, and gained the confidence and respect of our surgeons, but also had an active, profitable, pain management center. We sat on multiple committees, and as we live in the community, our children go to school in the community, we were an asset to the hospital. We participate in all insurance plans and were disappointed that we were not retained when the hospital was sold, and we were never even given the opportunity to meet with the new owners nor submit a proposal. Our group is a professional group of Board certified Anesthesiologists, that has always provided a consistent level of superior care. In all our years there, at no time was there the turn over of personnel which has been seen over the past few years. Any issues were always resolved internally in a timely fashion. We feel that the medical staff would welcome our return as we have received numerous calls from physicians as they find out about the recent sale of the hospital. The following medical staff respectfully request that Montclair Anesthesia Associates, P.C. be given the opportunity to meet with and discuss the possibility of returning to the hospital.
