It has been mooted, and has yet to go through parliament, that everyone should be paid the same pension of a £140.00 per week. However, this is not going to create a level playing field as those who are ALREADY taking their State Pension or are shortly about to receive their State Pension will not be covered under this new ruling as it stands. So we need to make our voices heard now. If the Government wants to create a level playing field then it should be for ALL PENSIONERS even those already taking their pension, or about to, and regardless of perhaps missing credits due to staying at home with children, working part-time on a reduced stamp etc. This way the Pension Credit scheme could be abolished saving a lot of money on ADMINISTRATION CHARGES. The monies saved would go where it is needed, in the PENSIONERS POCKET instead of being wasted on ADMIN. It is believed that this would not cost the Country any more than currently being spent.
