Dear Wikipedia administrators, Wikipedia has a pretended version of it in "Moldovan language" using the Cyrillic script. http://mo.wikipedia.org We would like to draw your attention to the fact that such a country as Moldova exists. Its state language is Moldovan (identical to Romanian), and it is written in the Latin alphabet, not Cyrillic. Article 13 of the Constitution of Moldova which states that "The national language of the Republic of Moldova is Moldovan, and its writing is based on the Latin alphabet." (http://xiv.parlament.md/en/legalfoundation/constitution/t1/) You can also learn more information on Moldova at: http://www.moldova.md http://www.moldova.org http://www.gov.md You can inquire about the alphabet used in Moldova at any governmental agency of Moldova, or embassy of Moldova in any country. You could eventually inquire at the Moldovan embassy in the US Embassy of Moldova 2101 S Street, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20008 Tel: (202) 667-1130 Fax: (202) 667-1204 www.embassyrm.org The Moldovan language with Cyrillic script had been used until 1989. Since then the Moldovan language has switched to the Latin script. Therefore, we request you to delete the fake "Moldovan version in Cyrillic" from Wikipedia, and allow the normal use of Moldovan language in Latin letters in the Moldovan version of Wikipedia. It would be absurd to have a Wikipedia in "English" of "French" with Arabic or Cyrillic letters. It is as absurd to have a "Moldovan Wikipedia" with a Cyrillic script. Somebody made a bad joke on the internet using Wikipedia, and it only damages Wikipedia\'s noble aim of spreading knowledge and open information. If anybody wants a Wikipedia version in Moldovan with Cyrillic letters - they are free to do that, but they should not call it Moldovan, and they should not hijack the name of a language that exists officially in a real country and uses Latin letters. You would probably intervene if somebody would start re-writing the English Wikipedia in Arabic letters, and you would probably not allow that. Therefore we kindly ask you to ensure ways for the Wikipedia in Moldovan language to be in its only legal form - the Latin alphabet.

The existence of this Cyrillic version is an insult to our history and our alphabet. I am currently reaching out to the administrators to demand a correction of this inaccuracy.

The momentum is undeniable now. It is time for Wikipedia to recognize the facts.

Finally someone said it. Nobody uses cyrillic here anymore. It makes no sense to have that up there.

Total waste of space. Change it to Latin or get rid of it completely. We aren't in the soviet era anymore lol
