On the British television show, Doctor Who, there is at least one companion given to the title character. Over the years, there have been memorable sidekicks such as Rose, Martha, Captain Jack, Donna, Amy Pond, and most recently, Clara. Eventually, the current companion will leave, making room for a new character. I'm making this petition to have that new companion named after a very influential and inspirational teacher who is leaving our school next year. Her name is Ms. Dunagan, of AP US History, and she helped to transform a class of academically indifferent teenagers into college ready advocates for justice and change. She was an excellent teacher, and I figured the best way to say thank you for all the hard work she put in was to try and have her name immortalized in TV history! If you sign this petition, you'll be sending a huge thank you to someone who went above-and-beyond to ensure her students--who were already blasphemed by the entire town--were prepared for the future as mature adults.
