I believe that UNHCR shall assume all of its mandate and that it should put pressure on governments in relation with migration and that it should help in obtaining refugee status in many cases. I am currently working in eastern sri lanka and believe that UNHCR should in priority adress the needs of the tamil people being jailed for undefinite period in Thailand. Links to the ICRC on that matter shall also be made as to ensure that the safety and integrity of these persons is respected by the goverment.
