Transport for London are considering allowing the use of technology which would allow mobile phones to be used on the Underground system. The tube is one of the last bastions of civilisation where it is still possible to sit and quietly read a book or newspaper on the way to or from work, without some appalling and inconsiderate person loudly discussing details of their tedious private life or other such trivial subject matter. This petition sets out to ask the customers of London Underground to request that Ken Livingstone and the senior management team put a stop to this dreadful possibility and allow us already often harassed commuters a peaceful journey to work.
