Comments: I spent 25 years in Corrections for Hennepin County. I saw the same offenders again and again. Frequently I'd see them for the last time on the 5 o'clock news. THEY are the problem. No more gun legislation! Actually SENTENCE the offenders.

Comments: 1. We ALREADY have enough laws on the books that punish crimes with guns. Guns are just a tool. Like a hammer or a car or a baseball bat. All of those could be used by someone to hurt or kill someone. Should we take away people's rights to have cars, hammers, etc..? 2. All you would be doing is taking away the right of a "law abiding citizen" from protecting themselves. Right now we have laws that say you can't carry a gun on school property or in a Federal building. So, to a criminal who wants to hurt/kill someone, this says people in here are defenseless. I have a permit to carry a concealed weapon. Ordinary people defend themselves everyday, but the media ignores the stories.
