Mixed martial arts is a safe sport: There has never been a death or serious injury in the sport of Ultimate Fighting. Mixed martial arts doesn't lead to violence: There is no study that has conclusively proven that learning MMA technique leads to increased violence. It in fact teaches strict discipline both mentally and physically. Mixed martial arts provides numerous benefits to the BC community: It is a great alternative to the weight room for people who want to get in incredible physical shape. It is a great way to learn a new sport. It can be also taught as a self-defense mechanism. We students want to have a mixed martial arts class on the BC campus.
