By my signature below I hereby petition and request indirect initative (to be put to popular vote if not enacted by the legislature) to permit Mixed Martial Arts competition in the state of South Carolina. Also, please consider the additional stipulations with regard to Mixed Martial Arts competition found in my comment box (below) as potential legislation or regulation enforcable by the SC Athletic Commission or legitimate sanctioning body.

This sponsor are simply people interested in restoring Pancrase to the Olympics and promoting the mixed martial arts (MMA) as a legitimate sport.
Mixed Martial Arts competition is presently prohibited by SC Code 40-81-530 for professional or amateur events and is regulated by the state athletic commission.

THE SC HOUSE HAS PASSED THE BILL H.3042 legalizing MMA in SC. It is presently in the Labor Committee for the Senate. If it passes in the Senate it will go the Governor for signature. After the Governor's signature MMA will be legal in South Carolina. PLEASE SPREAD THE NEWS TO FRIENDS. AT THE MINIMUM ... PLEASE GET MORE PEOPLE TO SIGN THIS PETITION.
