Comments: Although I am a DirecTV subscriber and will therefore still get the games, this is so wrong! MLB seems to do their dardest to make sure fans can't watch their favorite teams, as already evidenced by their affiliation with FOX. Please don't make a bad situation worse!

Comments: In order for me to get Directv I would have to cut down about ten trees in my yard, which would cost me thousands of dollars. This deal is going to cost MLB fans now and in the future. They are denying baseball fans the chance to actually spend money to watch games on tv. I will be forced to purchase an inferior product, mlbtv, to watch on a small computer monitor. this is very shortsighted on the part of MLB.

Comments: MLB, don't cut out hundreds of thousands of fans......better yet, dont severly cut your target audience! I love EI, but will never go to DirectTV. It is just a terrible system if you want to stay in touch with anything going on in your local area!!!!

Comments: not eveyone can get a sattleite dervice in their residence, some live in aparments, some live in areas where trrees or buildings block the reception of satalite reception, to limit viewership to a few individuals in order to make owners a little more money is a big mistake, you'll be alientaing a large portion of fans, they're are many members of Red Sox Nation who do not live in the market who want to watch Red Sox games and depend on Extra Innings to see them, these are the people you'll be angering i would encourage MLB and all ownere to do the right thing and leave Exta Innings available to everyone

Comments: MLB is probably doing me a favor....I guess I will spend more time with my family than watching the Red Sox on EI. Not going to switch to DTV. Too bad my kids will not be exposed to the Red Sox growing up now. There are a couple fewer fans for you in the future (multiply this by the number of households you are alienating to get total number of potential future fans you are losing on this deal). Savy move for the future of the sport.

Please reconsider this...I already find myself pulling away from the game in anticipation of not seeing my team play...I will literally spend thousands of dollars LESS per year on your product (I am, for now, a season ticket holder)

Comments: i think this petition is wrong for the true fans of major league baseball. i own directv and this isn't an issue for me, but for all those fans who buy this package on cable are now robbed of the opportunity to watch their favorite team. because let's be honest, the only people who buy this package live in towns away from their favorite team. otherwise, why buy a package of games that you have no real rooting interest in. if i lived in boston still, i wouldn't have need for this package since i could watch all the games i cared about.
