Comments: It's time. As Rocky said after beating Ivan Drago in "Rocky IV"--"If I can change, and you can change, everybody can change." I have changed. MMA has changed. It's time New York State changed. Let's get this licensed!

Comments: The sport has come a long way since its beginning and deserves another chance in New York State. Proper regulations and controls will bring it in line with any other major competitive sport in this country while maintaining safety for its participants.

Comments: NY should definitely make a move on this. We need a lobbying organization to help push this through, I think its the right time for New York.

Comments: It's time to recognize MMA as a premier sport, by sanctioning it in premier state. NY especially NYC and MMA are made for each other.

Comments: Day in and day out, we all know that boxing takes kids OFF the street who are fighting with their fists or just plainly wanting to learn self defense. Boxing is a way to control kids and teach them discipline. If they are going to fight, they might as well do it in the ring and learn how to fight, how to train, how to set goals and how to accomplish the impossible. This holds true with MMA. If they are going to do it in their back yards, or in schools, or on the street in broad daylight and in back allies at night, they might as well take an organized route and bring it to the ring. I vote to bring MMA to New York State, the best state in the US and the best place in the world. Welcome MA to New York State!

Comments: This sport is amazing and it has changed so vastly over the last decade-and-a-half that it's a completely different game now. I hope New York will soon recognize the progress MMA has made.

Comments: It is a shame that the fastest growing sport does not have representation in New York State. We need to have an even in MSG and show why NYC is capital of the world!

Comments: There is no reason for this sport not to exist in NY State. There are many practitioners and fans in the state and the draw could mean huge revenues for the state. Quit being a bunch of mindless zombies, less people get hurt in MMA than in auto racing. Mike Coolbaugh died in a freaking baseball game and that's legal...who died in a legal MMA fight

Comments: I am a physician and I have been involved in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) for almost 10 years. It is a safe and exciting new sport. There have been NO deaths or serious injuries in any sanctioned events. I fully support the growth of this sport, and I feel the state of NY should legalize MMA. Andrew L. Doe MD
