Name: Carolyn BIVENS on May 11, 2011Comments: You don't have to be under 30 to be beautiful, fit, or worthy of these competitions. Putting such a young age limit on the competitors is discrimination against people over 26 and financially irresponsible of the people that run the pageant.Flag

Name: Kelly Martin on Jan 25, 2013Comments: I was diagnosed with cancer at age 23, the same year I planned on competing for Miss VA USA. Three years later, my very last eligible year, I am well and ready to make my dream come true. I was heartbroken when I didn't capture the crown on my first try as I had worked endlessly to be my very best, but even more heartbroken that I had aged out of the competition after my loss. I haven't been the same since this happened nearly three months ago, I just want one last chance at my dream. Please consider raising the age limit to 28. I will be 27 next month and I'm more capable than ever of being the best Miss VA USA and Miss USA the competition has seen.Flag
