This is a petition to spur the legislature in Missouri to pass a law allowing the Law Abiding Legal Citizens of Missouri to carry a firearm in the open legally without a permit. We are not asking that Felons, and the like are allowed to carry firearms. We just ask that there is no \"procedure\" and amounts of money paid to the \"state\" for the right to excercise your Right you already have under the Constitution. When the CCW law was up for a vote, we heard a lot of people screaming about the increase of violence and blood in the streets if it was passed. And that simply did not happen. In fact less crime has occurred since the passing of the law. However with the recent ruling in the DC area; and the effort by the DC area council to skirt the law in every way they can. It is imperative that we relax the laws in the state of Missouri to free the people up to defend themselves as they see fit. The law abiding citizens should be allowed to protect themselves against the Criminals that will carry a firearm if it is illegal or legal. A positive side effect is that it will not only help prevent gun murders of the innocent; but it would cut down the instances of many other crime. Especially crimes against women, Stalking, Rape, Domestic abuse outside the home, etc. Join the fight. Take control of your destiny and stop being a victim.
