This petition has been set up to collect signatures of those individuals, living in Missouri, who believe that the use of cell phones, particularly talking on cell phones, while driving should be banned by state law. Talking on your cell phone while driving can potentially cause serious accidents as the driver is not as alert as they would be if they had been paying attention to driving instead of dialing a number, talking to some one, or even text messaging. This is by far a common sense thing that unfortunately needs to be put into law because of those individuals who do not think before they act. 45 countries have banned the use of cell phones while driving. Only 3 states in the US have banned the use of cell phones while driving.

Sponsor

I am an individual sponsoring this petition because I feel the need for this type of legislation to get people to be more safe while they are driving.
