Name: Kim Butler on Aug 1, 2007Comments: We need more dog parks in Delaware County-as congested traffic-wise as the county has become, there is a demonstrated need for more safe places for dogs to get supervised exercise.Flag

Name: Leigh Ann Shmidheiser on Aug 1, 2007Comments: Although I am not a dog owner myself, a dog park would be benefitial to those who want to sit peacefully in the park and not have to be bothered by people letting their dogs off of their leashes. If there is a park exclusively for the use of dogs and their owners, then everyone else can enjoy the other parks without having to be bothered by stepping in dog poop or having to listen to dogs barking.Flag

Name: Judy Yorke on Aug 7, 2007Comments: we found a wonderful dog park in Delaware...large and small dog parks separated...water bowls, benches, shaded areas, running room! Dogs need to run for physical, emotional, and behavioral health. Dogs are imortant to our health too! We need something closer to home! Other towns are getting the idea. Let's go Ridley Park...let's have a dog park!Flag

Name: KATHLEEN A. GUALTIERI on Aug 7, 2007Comments: I Cannot believe, with all the county taxes we pay in Delco, that we do not have a Dog Park. I have no children, and have been paying school taxes for years! It is time to offer something, to people like me, who would love to have a park to take my dogs to. Not everyone in Delco has a back yard, or one large enough to excercise their dogs. Philly has at least 9 parks! I also, believe, it encourages interaction between neighbors and citizens of a community that would not otherwise meet. Please, it is time! Lets get with the rest of the US (for once.) Delco's track record with the care of animals and for animals is appalling! Look at our SPCA, it's like something out of the 17th century, and I maybe insulting them by saying so! Thank You. Sincerely, Kathleen A. Gualtieri, Chester, Jack and OrlaFlag

Name: Frank Taddie on Aug 12, 2007Comments: This is a good idea. This could get more people coming to Ridley Park, which in turn could help out our business district. I have a dog, but I do not have a fenced in yard. A dog park would be great for me because I could stay in my community while I help my dog exercise. We need something like this!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 16, 2007Comments: Although I live in Collingdale, PA I'm very much interested in an enclosed dog park for my dog. I would definelty drive to Ridley (if outside residents are allowed) so my dog, Wyatt could enjoy the company of other dogs, play and exercise. I could not find one local dog park in any of the surrounding Boro's so when I googled Dog Parks, Delaware County, your sight came up. Thank you. Helene NelsonFlag

Name: Luciana Machado Simon on Aug 18, 2007Comments: Our dogs and us need more parks in PA. We need Ridley Park to be a dog park... there are so few parks here in the area. Also, every day, dog lovers go to Rose Tree Park and we would love to have it be a dog park too. There are so many dog parks in other areas; why is PA so rigid about that if so many people have or like dogsFlag

Name: Joyce Capuzzi on Aug 26, 2007Comments: This would be a dream come true for both owners and dogs. There are so many places that dogs are not permitted, but to see Binky run like the wind, with her ears back and her hair blowing would be a dream come true. We have no place in our home for her to get the "wiggles" out and she is leashed whenever she is not in our home. SHe loves other friends and we would love to see the exercise she would get. As Dog Park users, we would help to provide upkeep, PR and the things necessary to make it enjoyable for everyone. THis would add to the desirability of Ridley PArkFlag
