I am a mother of two and aunt of four. I am a full time mom and part-time medical assistant. I believe in this and I plan to take this to the Board of Education and pursue this matter as far as I am able. It makes it really tough on the kids in the suburbs. I think our educators need to have less in service days and send our kids back after Labor Day. Our kids don\'t get out any earlier than normal so why should they lose the month of August for their summer vacation! I believe in Education but I also believe the kids need a break to unwind and be kids. There is enough time ahead of them to get a taste of the real world. Anyone who can think back for a moment- and remember what it felt like to be on summer vacation and watching Jerry Lewis and knowing after that it was time for school!!!
