The National Bone Marrow registry doesn't allow anyone under the age of 18 to become a member of the registry. I believe that the age should be lowered to 16 years old with the consent of both the parent/guardian and the donor. I believe more people would join this cause if the age requirement was lowered, therefore there could be more matches found and more lives saved.
