Name: Anonymous on May 15, 2007Comments: Something needs to be done (perhaps a speed bump) to slow traffic in front of Orr Elementary School. Although there are designated cross walks with lights at each end of the school fronting Minnesota Avenue, a lot of the children still cross in the middle of the block.Flag

Name: Rebecca Walawender on May 16, 2007Comments: The speeding traffic on Minnesota Ave SE between Pennsylvania Ave and East Capitol Street has reached a critical point and now requires the immediate intervention of city officials. Drivers rarely obey cross-walk laws and the average speed is at least 15 miles over the 30 mile per hour limit. While Minnesota is a thoroughfare, it is also a highly populated and vibrant neighborhood avenue. The city's priority should be the safe passage of its residents and not the convenience of commuters.Flag

Name: Reggie Freeman on May 18, 2007Comments: The entire traffic concern on Minnessota Ave has long gone without proper review. There are several options needed to abate the traffic matters. Not only is there a speed issue, but congestion, pedestrian saftey, parking concerns,. All these relates items speak volumes for an area that needs it's entire infrastucture redesigned.Flag
