Louis DPlease bring this car to the US. We need more fuel efficient and (stylish) small car options. I'm not going to buy a Honda any time soon. A mini Diesel that can get 45-55mpg would be on my short list for certain.

Larry Thompson
Isaac SimsPlease bring the Mini Diesel to the United States.
AnonymousWe need the MINI Cooper D right now! This will give American people a good reason to be excited about clean diesel. Please Hurry.

Peter SmithGM, Ford, Chrysler car models sold in Europe or South America have same body as US models but much more fuel-efficient and clean engines than US. Turbo-diesel versions are common abroad and go up to 50 mpg. What's stopping US car makers to start selling same models they sell in US today but with turbo-diesel engines like the ones they make in Europe? I'm not saying to outsource our labor. I'm asking: bring those engines blue-prints in the US and start making them here for US cars. We need them now. It's a tested technology and better than hybrids. We can't wait another 5-10 years. Thank you. 45 mpg: http://media.ford.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=27203 41/56 mpg: http://jalopnik.com/356497/hypermiling-the-2007-honda-civic-22-i+ctdi-and-2007-audi-q7-42-tdi http://www.greencarcongress.com/2005/09/gm_unveils_opel.html http://www.chrysler.it/grand_voyager/features/performance/index.html

Breck CampbellMy wife has a Prius, but I want more fun!
Larry MarksPlease bring this vehicle to the US. With fuel prices approaching $5.00 per gallon and rising it will be a huge seller in this country.
Tyler BrownBring it in!
Collin SchultzThis car has it all. There will be a huge demand. Bring it on over. They could use some of the similar technology that Honda uses on the Accord or TSX & that Jetta uses on the TDI to get 50 state sales.

Sean MurphyI would kill fight and die for a car with that kind of gas mileage. Sad part is that they would retool it to get worse gas mileage in the US just like Toyota did for the Prius (45 US.... 65+ UK... WTF???)
Mark Campbell
Chip ClarkPlease don't make me wait until I move to Europe in 2012 to get my hands on a MINI-D! We own two Mark II's already and live in the USA.

AnonymousWhy in the WORLD does BMW or any car company other than Mercedes & VW bring real high MPG diesels to the U.S? Do you guys have a deal with the Oil companies or something?
AnonymousI would buy one, please.
Kerry KingI want to buy a Mini Cooper D. I have to commute 60 miles each way. I need one!
David DignamI have driven small diesels while vacationing in Europe and have never been able to understand why we can't buy these models in the US. The Mini D would be the ideal car for me
AnonymousI would definately buy one if available in the us given the gas mileage. However, because it is not available I am looking at other cars in the US with better gas mileage
AnonymousI have owned 5 diesel cars over the past 30 years--and look forward to owning a diesel MINI and/or BMW soon.
