   Comments: I would dearly love to see a special edition of MIMIC on DVD, and see the film as Guillermo del Toro had intended. He is a remarkable director and as cited in the petition, a very popular one, so let's see this cult classic in a format that will do it justice.

    Comments: The quality of MIMIC stood out in the 90s, amidst a sea of milquetoast horrors that aspired to little more than copying SILENCE OF THE LAMBS or showing sarcastic teens making fun of bad slasher flicks. I love this film. But even when I saw the old DVD for $6, I refused to buy it. The beautiful cinematography, detailed production design, and immersive music and sound effects demand a remastered anamorphic DVD with DTS sound. I want to see Del Toro's version of the film and hear his thoughts via a commentary track. I would certainly buy this special edition DVD as soon as it was released. My money is waiting.
