We the undersigned, petition the United States Army Corps of Engineers to fully fund operations at Mill Springs Mill located at Mill Springs Kentucky, until such time that another funding mechanism is in place that will insure continued operation. In that the Corps of Engineers is charged by Congress with the duty and obligation to maintain and operate the Mill (the largest overshot waterwheel in the world) we demand that funding cuts be restored to insure that the the mill is operated by an experienced "paid" miller to grind corn every weekend in the spring, summer and fall for the benefit of tourist, students, children and the citizenry of the United States of America.
