WERE YOU AWARE At the Parent Council Meeting on 27th of August it was announced that the Aberdeen City Council and the 3 r\'s project intended to move ahead with their plan to change the name of Mile End School in preparation for its move to the new site. The original plan was for two names to be picked by the children and voted on at a meeting mid September. Mile End, we were told, could not be an option. After some research we established that there is no legal reason or policy that means the name has to be changed. Mile End can still be an option. Many of us feel strongly that we wish to retain the Mile End name and the history and reputation that goes with it. Remember .There is no legal policy requiring the name to change. .Rebranding will cost council tax payers money. Aberdeen City council is
