AnonymousWE MUST REMAIN REASONABLE AND KEEP THE ISSUE IN CONTEXT.
Stephanie JacksonI know that I am repeating what others have said, but it is true. All of this money that will be spent on this trial could go towards an after school program. People have to wake up and know what is really important. I also have a dog, and I know that dogs will fight, sometimes just because they are dogs. I think that this man deserves a chance to live his life and until he really breaks the law (people fights or things of that nature). I say lets play some football. There could be a lot of players out there now that was at the dogs fights and decided to tell so that they could have a chance of having a winning season. Good luck Vick.
AnonymousOK, what I want to know is-- how so many people who believe in a system of innocent until proven guilty stand up and say guilty when they don't know anything. I love animals, I won't kill a spider in my house. I take them outside. I do not kill poison snakes that come in my yard. I remove them to a Nature center and I can tell you fighting dogs is wrong--- but I think this country has gone absolutely nuts when it comes to dogs. There are people dying in Darfur daily and there are commericals on our TV's everyday about sending in money for stray animals that are running free in Amercia. I'm just saying we have lost our ability to prioritize important issues. Why ruin this man's life? Let's keep this crime in perspective.
Anonymousthis some bull...people die everyday and they get less invested in them than this...

Deborah CrawfordBecause Mike Vick is an American athlete of Arican descent in the limelight he is looked upon in the wide open media mall..would all this be happening is he were just a regular joe(causian joe), of course
JaTerrance YoungFree Vick!!!!!!!
Jerrilyn Z. BilalMicheal Vick deserves due process. He also deserves to have the entire picture presented. There is something very wrong with the way he is being convicted in the media.... I can't even watch the news these days... How many humans died today in Iraq, including women and children?

jamilah shakirI am once again appalled at the obvious purposeful destruction and injustice of another African American man before proven guilty of what! the issue with his involvement with dog fighting is apparently not the issue. As americans we have made the lives of animals more important than human life. In addition, for years I have seen the media on a mission to hate and destroy Michael Vick. I am tired of this behavior and atitude to destroy black men and it must end immediately!!!!!
Rev. DeleHuman life is not any less precious than a dog's life. The public assassination of African American men must stop. We must create a society that is compassionate to all of its members.
Zakiyyah Raheem, Ph.D.Michael Vick deserves to have his day in court; not be lynched by an out of control modern day mob.
Anonymousthe judge said it would take "half a day" to pick a jury ,how are they gonna find a FAIR AND IMPARTIAL jury ever ,let alone in half a day? all these people who are sure that mike is guilty are setting this up for a MISSTRIAL imagine the damage that could do IF he is guilty but gets off because of a misstrial?! thats why we have the system !!!!!!!!

Jennifer NelsonI support the right for due process!!!!!!!!!
IkhideThere are more important things going on in the world today than to waste time on the alleged involvement of an NFL Quarterbacks family and friends actions... If this happened to lets say George Bush and he had family members doing such in his house, will he be held accountable???

Christopher CombsThis man is being sentenced before given his right to a just hearing.
Sheree' FranklinMichael Vick is an amazing athelete, team player and a good citizen. I pray justice on his behalf.
AnonymousI'm not particularly an animal lover, should animals be treated humanely, yes, should animal life be valued higher than human life, of course not. America stop hiding behind issues that give you an avenue or disguise of good samaritan to attack others. Some animal organzations may show kindness toward animals but are brutal and inhumane to humans. Throwing paint and setting up music artists to embarass them because they choose to wear fur is just as cruel and evil. Don't throw stones when you live in a glass house.

AnonymousWho invented dogfighting? Is it blacks or whites? Can we just keep it real for a change. It is sad that everything is blamed on black people and yet we stand strong. What is that tell you? People need to stop the racism because you can never win. Blacks, Jews, and other minorities are here to stay and there's nothing anyone can do to change that. You're fighting a loosing battle and sometimes when you challenge God, he would come back at you ten times harder. I do not know Michael Vicks but if said he's innocent, why are we rushing to judgement before his day in court. Animal rights activities are hypocrites because if you love animals so much, you would not eat them. How many of them are vegetarians? How they think the meat got to the final stage? Do they think the cow, sheep, goat, pigs and etc want to be eaten? Them too are force against their wished for our own self-sufficience. All the coverups, pointing fingers, racism, and devilish acts these country engaged in, brought us nothing but bad luck and monsterous living. We need to stop and look how us as people leave like animals and wonder why this country has no freedow, safety, morals, and power to stop people doing what they do. I do not like anyone or any animal mistreated. Also I definitely pray that White America and White owned Media give blacks the benefit of doubt and stop stereotyping every blacks. Police, FBIs, Government officials, get the white dogfighting inventors in jail first because racially blaming blacks.

Patrick PrioleauWe need to take this seriously......There is a much bigger thing going on here and if we take this lying down, our freedom as we know it will be truley at risk....
dawudJust another example of the ingrained racism that permeates American society. Again, justice is just-us.

Miranda RiceMike Vick deserves the same presumption of innocence as anyone else. Furthermore, this is a slap in the actual patrons of Falcons games and residents of metro Atlanta. WE want Mike Vick to be supported by the franchise and allowed to play with HIS team.

Zaheerah AleemThis extreme concern being shown toward animals should be displayed toward Human Beings. With all the injustice being perpetrated by the legal system, where is the outrage of the animal rights supporters!

Koniqkion DenmonI personally think he is innocent. I don't want to believe that Michael Vick could be involved in such a ignorant situation. He has made a stupid mistake like so many of our young, gifted, Afro-American men do who find themselves in the media spotlight, whether they are entertainers or athlete's. Innocent until proven guilty they are already trying to hang the man without knowing ALL the facts! You can't rely on the media hell they are just as shady!!! We are talking about a man's lively hood, how he makes his living they need to be careful! Dog fighting is wrong, ALL animal cruelty is wrong so I am praying he was not apart of that PERIOD!! I pray for him and his family during this entire ordeal and I hope he is trusting in the LORD to get his name cleared!!!
Robin SmithInnocent until proven guilty.

Mansour AnsariHe has the right to due process. The people need the facts before they crucify the man.
Sandra K GlennAllow him the right to a 'trial by jury' not by the court of 'public opinion'!
Zarinah ShakirASA, Thank you for sending me this petition. Our country is killing people and destroying homelands and property all over the world. Yet the focus of African-American men: athletes, entertainers, students, victoms of Katrina, the many men in prison, men in the military, etc., etc. is to destroy their character, their contributions, albeit, sometimes small or maybe just not recognized by this vicious media. I support this petition because we are in dire need of a "regime change" in this country. The racist, bigotted, "so-called" conservative "wrong" because they are not the right at all must be stopped. Please help this brother and others like him and even the sisters that are being railroaded into the prison industrial complex. Zarinah Shakir 7-30-07
Lynn WrightCall Roger Goodell at 1-212-450-2000 and demand that Mike Vick be allowed to play. He is not a repeat offender of the league's policy and is being unfairly punished unlike other players who have also been indicted or found guilty in a court of law!
AnonymousThis is ridiculous....Human rights before animal rights! Why is the NFL punishing Falcons fans and Michael Vick to appease terrorist groups?? Contact the Falcons and complain NOW.
AnonymousProve his guilt. Due process.

Derrick C. WhiteLet my people go!
Angel CraytonIt seems as thought the NFL has already convicted him of these allegations. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty accroding to our judicial system. Kobe Bryant continues to play in the NBA while court proceeding were going on, why isn't that Michael Vick has been removed as the face of the Atlanta Falcons.
AnonymousIt's "media brainwashing" at its finest where Vick is being tried in the court of "public opinion" to assure a guilty verdict and the destruction of his life.
