Name: Michelle Ehret on Aug 28, 2011Comments: I had started to use CFLs in my bedroom next to my bed and for reading light next to a chair, and began to have persistent headaches. I ran across an article suggesting a link between CFLs and migraines, and replaced the CFLs with incandescents. The headaches stopped. I think the potential health concerns raised about CFLs have not been adequately studied before the law mandating them was passed. I think we need to do that now.Flag

Name: Rachel Gaines on Dec 5, 2011Comments: I am deeply upset by this news that I only learned of today. Can someone please tell me what I will be able to do once these light bulbs are banned? Fluorescent light makes me sick. I must be able to use regular light bulbs and I cannot believe as a free American I will not have this choice. I am beyond sad and mad. Sincerely, Rachel GainesFlag

Name: Allison Dorner on Dec 30, 2011Comments: This issue is extremely important to me and to my family. My dad gets migraines when he's in a room with fluorescent lighting for more than a few minutes. Approximately 25% of people's health will be negatively affected by the forced use of fluorescent lighting.Flag

Name: Kevin Boggs on Jan 6, 2012Comments: Over the last several years my girlfriends migraines have become more frequent and more severe. Over this time period she had changed most of the lights in her home to CFL bulbs. After hearing about this possible connection I changed the CFL bulbs back to incandescent bulbs in the most used lights. Since that time over a hear ago her migraines have become almost non-existent. I realize this is just an anecdotal experience but it seems a little too coincidental to me.Flag

Name: Alexandra Wolf on Apr 12, 2012Comments: I had a serious accident which left me with Traumatic Brain Injury. Since then, fluorescent lights make me feel ill. Specifically, they trigger debilitating vertigo, nausea, headaches, and sometimes even seizures and vomiting. Incandescent lights and sunlight are the only lights that don't hurt me. Please don't take away the only option I have to be safe and comfortable. Thank you.Flag
