Name: Vikki Allen on Apr 12, 2010Comments: a great shame. a lot of younger listeners, which kepted them indoors listening, and not out and about on the streets, causing trouble and crime. its all about the music, and the adverts influence that crime is not the way to go, get into music and go places.Flag

Name: Thomas Shepherd on Apr 12, 2010Comments: Shame that this has happened, Midlands Rush was a really positive thing for a massive audience and the many people directly and indirectly involved. A breeding ground for creativity and direction for the younger generation, something that is really important on so many levels. Let's hope for a better future where good innocent people aren't targeted or penalised, there are far more serious things I'd like to see my tax paying for. RIP 92.2Flag

Name: Anonymous on Apr 12, 2010Comments: Radio stations such as Midlands Rush are a valuable means of media communication, connecting with young people who are alienated by commercial mass media and celebrity culture. Rather than embracing innovative music and rewarding the passion of young people, you are criminalising them, turning them away from something that is a genuinely postiive force. Midland's Rush have iterated their desire to go legal, however OfCom feel necessary to enforce costs and fees so high, that they are purely there to a) profiteer from the passions of others, and b) restrict creativity (as you need to be funded by adverts, and thus become a minion to what advertisers want. See: Galaxy, ITV, and so forth). People do not want Golden Oldies and Top 40, they want DJs and music they can relate to, connect with and feel a apart of. We do not want to be alienated and have our creativity restricted!Flag

Name: Mary-Anne Hood on Apr 12, 2010Comments: Hopefully this petition will make you see that we are not commiting a crime we are enjoying ourselves by listening to and participating in a passion. Would you rather see us on the streets commiting offensive crimes or be in our homes behaving by giving this licence you would be putting an end to anti- social behaviour on those who do. Please remember these vital comments as if you allow a licence this station you will see a fall in street crime and a great community be built from those who you would consider to be a nuisance.Flag

Name: Adam Richards on Apr 12, 2010Comments: Midlands rush was a wiked way for people to listen to some underground music instead of having to listen to the commercial crap you can get on any station round your town. It had variety and helped a lot of up and coming djs get themselves known. Nice one too all the people who put hard work into getting it on every weekend. Gutted its gone!Flag
