Name: Sammantha Olek on Oct 3, 2011Comments: It's about time our planners grew some nuts and threw these idiots back to where they belong. How dare Chris Huhne suggest we oop North learn to love these monstrosities when he would not consider it in his constituency - and comparing a 125m industrial turbine to a 80 foot 17th century windmill shows just about the level of his grasp on the subject. We will fight you, and we will fight you all the way. Let's hope our regional councilors and planning authority are with the people who pay their wages.Flag

Name: Gilbert Roberts on Oct 3, 2011Comments: I vigorously oppose this development. No doubt a landscape architect will be paid handsomely to say that the turbines are comfortably accommodated by the landscape. The truth is they will ruin some of our most valued vistas for the sake of highly dubious contributions to energy security or carbon reduction.Flag

Name: Michael Shaw on Oct 3, 2011Comments: Simply basing an impact assessment on the number of nearby residents shows how little this developer understands about the amenity of rural open space to surrounding communities and how their use of such space feeds the local economy. This is one of my favorite cycle routes due to the unspoiled open vistas. I have friends and family who ride and walk in the same area for the same reasons. Northumberland is already over exploited for wind and water.Flag

Name: Val Corbett on Oct 6, 2011Comments: If I may quote the Duke of Northumberland: "Wind farms divide communities, ruin landscapes, affect tourism, make a minimal contribution to our energy needs and a negligible contribution towards reducing CO2 emissions. The landowner and developer are enriched while the consumer is impoverished by higher energy costs. Turbines are ugly, noisy and completely out of place in our beautiful, historic landscape".Flag

Name: Gemma Lunn on Oct 17, 2011Comments: There are far too many wind farm proprosals in Northumberland. The land owners and developers seem to have no regard for the local communities and beautiful countryside that they destroy with these monstrosities.Flag

Name: Sandra Hennis on Nov 3, 2011Comments: Large ugly industrial structures have no place in areas of natural beauty. I visit the area for the unspoilt views and to enjoy being in the countryside, a development such as this would destroy that. The damage this proposal would cause to the local area is unproportional to any benefit gained and it should not be allowed to go ahead.Flag
