Comments: Another unnecessary proposed development driven by profit and greed. When will the government wake up and stop giving away billions to developers at a time when we need to save rather than waste.

Comments: I was, once, pro-renewables. No longer. If nothing else, this dreadful proposal of 9 monstrously large, ineffective, hugely expensive turbines has made me research wind power in depth. I have found so many reasons for stopping them being planted not only in my locality but elsewhere. Readers of this can find similar information on many websites. Perhaps Chris Huhne (Sec of State for Energy and Climate Change) might consider having several in Hampshire - preferably in his constituency. After all Hampshire has none to date, Northumberland already has reached its Government set target for 2060! It seems that even this may not stop the planners and developers. We need as much support as possible to stop this continued devastation of the countryside.

Comments: I don't want to see these giant ugly wind turbines out of my window. They haven't proved to be efficient and will completely spoil the landscape around Elsdon. If they are to be built then have them out at sea!

Comments: Northumbria National Park web page quote 'Elsdon is the perfect Northumbrian village, certainly the most complete example of a medieval settlement in the National park'. What will this quote be amended to by residents and visitors alike if this proposal is allowed.

Comments: It seems this group of London Investors think it's the Northerners that are green and regard us as a walkover. Oh dear, you've sadly misjudged us guys! If it's such a good idea why not build it in THEIR own back yard?

Comments: This scheme is singularly inappropriate in its siting on border of the National Park. It would have major adverse visual impacts on the historic and picturesque village of Elsdon. It would severely detract from the experience of Winter's Gibbet, a Listed Monument. The scheme is sited next to a fast and dangerous road and would distract drivers at its most dangerous point. Its sequential and cumulative impact with already consented schemes at Ray Estate and Green Rigg would further damage the tourist landscape of the area. By any standards, this is a turbine array too far.
