Grimsby should have a statue of Tim Mickleburgh

We believe that Grimsby should have a statue of local legend, Tim Mickleburgh. Mr Mickleburgh is the local contact for The Democracy Movement, Hon Vice President of the National Piers Society and a member of the Friends of the Freshney (River). He is also known for his observations of life in Grimsby. In the words of a fellow Grimberian (see our facebook group link for details): \"Tim\'s work is somehow even more poignant as he isn\'t paid a handsome salary and does it from the goodness of his heart and his willingness to share his opinions an knowledge.\" We therefore feel that his continued support for our local community deserves some sort of recognition, and we will be sending our petition to North East Lincolnshire Council.

7 years ago Comments: I thnk Tim is the most amazing man I have ever read about I follow his articles every day and save each one in my scrap book at home. I think he needs to be recognised for his intelligence and a statue will prove this. Also a statue with Tim on will show the rest of the country that Grimsby is full of good looking handsome men as Tim.
