We are a group of moms who are becoming empowered with information about what toxic chemicals our children are exposed to in school and taking a stand to get rid of harmful chemicals in our schools! We are collectively coming together to raise our voices to share our desire to provide every student and teacher with a safe and healthy school environment. We are starting a MIC Movement for schools to adopt a Non-Toxic and healthy way to clean. It is outrageous that we are spraying, sprinkling and wiping surfaces around our children with toxic chemicals! Indoor Air Quality can be 2 to 5 times more polluted than the outside air and our children spend a majority of their day in the classroom. We at MIC are out to CHANGE THIS… ONE SCHOOL at a time! Toxic chemical cleaners have been linked to asthma, allergies, behavioral issues, premature puberty, challenged immune systems, ADHD, cancer and more. We believe that when schools understand the direct health problems affecting our children from the school cleaners being used they will join us in creating a healthier environment for our children.
