However, this will implicate the question of 'why is MGSM not on the testamur?' Its more about recognition of MGSM as the graduate school for business and/or management related areas as a brand compared to other schools and within its own university, and the type of education till completion through MGSM than through Macquarie university. There are differences in terms of the the two systems by Macquarie Uni and MGSM even though they are on the same campus and MGSM is a subsidiary of Macquarie University. In business schools listing, the brand MGSM has evolved to be a brand by itself as a business school. A simple difference between both systems is MGSM runs in terms, not semesters, 4 terms in a year for MGSM compared to 2-3 semesters at Macquarie Uni, and each term is a relatively short period where the student is instilled knowledge and application, and furthermore, MGSM is a graduate school, rather than a normal undergraduate and postgraduate school. This distinguishes MGSM from Macquarie University's Faculty of Business relating to its complexity of the course at higher level. There are also differences in other areas such as the use of campuses by MGSM where knowledge are imparted, which are located in North Ryde, CBD and Hongkong.Flag
