To:Sony Pictures This petition is for the release of Brian Trenchard-Smith'S film THE SIEGE OF FIREBASE GLORIA. 1989 This is a brilliant war film. It's not an exploitation styled war film . It's shows us the horrors of the Vietnam war in all it's honesty. It can be argued by many that it's the best depiction of the experience in Vietnam . Especially by the actual veterans of that war. This film doesn't usually get the credit it deserves and that's what it needs, a show of appreciation. For a long time this film was not put on the dvd format while tons of garbage has. We the fans of this classic want this film released only in it's original (1.85:1) aspect ratio. No pan and scan crap. We want a special edition of this film. That much you owe to us fans and the director himself. The dvd should include a commentary track with the film's star R. Lee Ermey and Director Brian Trenchard-Smith .
