With the end of the record-breaking series, Smallville, coming to a close this year, several fans have been clamoring for a post-series follow-up so that we can continue to follow our favorite characters on new adventures, especially after Clark Kent becomes Superman. While there are several Superman titles on the comic book store shelves, millions of fans have fallen hard for this particular version of Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Green Arrow, and of course Lex Luthor that the series has given us. So while a spin-off series may not be in the works, there is no doubt that fans would flood the comic book stores to buy a quality comic continuation of this universe.

 There are examples of post-series comics that have gone on to success, especially when headed up and written by the same writers from the series that know the characters so well. Joss Whedon created Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 as well as Angel: After the Fall, and they still feel like the characters we grew to love. 

 You already have the fanbase, and will no doubt bring in a demographic of people that have never read a comic before into the stores and possibly get them interested in other comics (especially looking for the books with characters that have guest starred on Smallville). So what do you say, DC Comics. Give us Smallville Season 11: "Metropolis"
