Here in New York City and the tri-state area, there are many colleges both community and trade school. For those of us who do not work, sometimes getting money for metro cards can be a hassle. With this whole recession dilemma, the transit fare increased. This makes it even hard for the students who can't afford the metro cards to go to school for an education. Speaking from experience, there have been days where I would stay home because I did not have money to buy a metro card. This petition enforces the rights to be entitled for a college metro card for the appropriate school timing.
