Name: Richard Moskovitz on Feb 16, 2012Comments: This action by BCBSFL runs contrary to the spirit and intent of the parity legislation. It restricts access to care by limiting its availability. It also appears to violate anti-trust laws by creating a provider organization that completely controls the market.Flag

Name: Michael P Conrad on Feb 16, 2012Comments: The termination and transfer of benefit management by New Directions has been detrimental to my practice, my financial situation, my ability to refer to psychologists, and has caused my patients tremendous trepidation and anxiety. Despite my siging on with New Directions, their company sent a letter stating that I was no longer a provider.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 18, 2012Comments: I reluctantly joined New Directions after they lost the bid for privatized medicaid. Since then countless hours have been spent by my practice manager/CPA to collect from them Additionally and more concerning is that all out of state(outside FL) cannot be collected because now that I am a provider for New Directions I am, according to them, NOT a provider for out of state BCBS. This has never been a problem before now. There is clearly ethical and legal issues at stake here.Flag
